                                                                                                                                                          What is Contemporary Photography?

Contemporary photography will often mirror the style of magazines and advertising. There may be some ‘scene management’ to optimise the visual appeal of background and lighting but the emphasis is on creating natural portraits with minimal posing.

Reportage wedding photography is just one example but with much more emphasis on capturing events as they happen, with little or no interference. Also known as wedding photojournalism, this approach can, if desired, dominate throughout the day.



 

Calling the Shots

The level of coverage and style of approach can be discussed. Traditional group pictures and other special request shots can of course be prearranged making sure we get the variety of shots you and your family expect.

Black & white photography is inclusive with all church and large civil wedding packages. Colour digital images can also be re-printed in black & white, allowing for artistic enhancements such as selective colouring.

Other digital art options such as montages, re-touching, selective cropping and masking, are also available at the reprinting stage.

Your Prints

All proofs (first run of prints) are unwatermarked and sleeved in a wedding proof album with reference numbers to aid enlargement selection. To clarify, these prints are not marked or stamped on the front and are yours to keep. Reprint guides/order forms are supplied for convenient re-ordering.
Family and friends are invited to place direct orders themselves for quality reprints and may take advantage of ‘fast order’ discounts for orders placed within three months from the date you receive your proofs. 


Website Previews

New for this year, I am replacing my public-domain web previews page with password-protected galleries for each wedding at no extra charge. Pictures will remain online for six months after which you can extend this to a year and beyond from £20. Couples will receive their username and password with their wedding prints or via email if arranged.

DVD Packages

All your images can now be supplied at full-resolution and ready-to-print on a CD/DVD disc. You are then free to edit and print your own images or use the many online commercial lab services offering quality digital prints.

Available in four output sizes, high resolution digital images can be pre-ordered with standard packages (see below) at a generous discount or purchased individually later.

Your family and friends can of course still order enlargements and other products from me and I will continue to hold all images in my picture archives indefinately.


Video Slide Shows

A generous selection of images creatively edited together with a modest use of fade-ins, slow zooms and pans and the option of a music soundtrack of your choice. The result is a video montage supplied on DVD and suitable for viewing on your TV. 

Reprints / Enlargements

Printed from high resolution files reprints may include selective cropping, oval masking, black & white conversions or black & white with selective colouring as required - all at no cost other than the print price.

Other re-touching options available - often at no extra cost. Other print services as described above including stretched-canvas prints and photobooks. Please contact me for details.

Note some prints may be printed full-frame (longer than standard size) so not to lose important detail.

How to Pay

You can order by phone, email or post and pay by cash, cheque or debit/credit card via Paypal. To pay online simply email me your order including your name and address. An invoice will be emailed to you, including a direct link to a Paypal page where you can pay securely.

Please note orders are only processed on receipt of payment. But I will accept cash on collection in certain circumstances. Prints are usually ready for dispatch in 5 days.
